We collaborate and design exclusively with [a father son duo] Nortey family hence why all our brass pieces are named “The Nortey Collection.” The artisans are a culmination of family and friends working and residing in Krofofrom, Ashanti region in Ghana. They are but a few of the families left handmaking traditional masterpieces. The handcraft style and technique used to produce each piece reveals ancient techniques passed down from generation to generation. The partnership brings new ethos, fresh perspectives and together we are proud to bring you our Pan African, one of a kind, timeless pieces!
Responsible production and sustainability sit at the forefront of our brand’s values. All pieces are individually made using the age-old, lost wax technique. Inspired by the imperfect beauty of mother nature, ancient African cultures and the hallmarks of traditional jewelry making, comes the aesthetics of the design and attention to detail guarantees traditional brass authenticity that is unparallel and cannot be duplicated. Each piece moves one’s unconscious, as the meaning behind each piece provides a message specific to the wearer. This personalization is what makes every item in this collection unique and personal to each of us.

Care and Maintenance
- Avoid exposing your brass jewelry to water, perfumes, and other harsh chemicals as much as possible. These substances can cause the brass to tarnish or discolor.
- Wipe your brass jewelry clean with a soft, dry cloth after wearing. This will help to remove any dirt or grime that may have accumulated on the surface.
- Store your brass jewelry in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. This will help to prevent tarnishing and discoloration.
- If your brass jewelry does tarnish or discolor, you can use a brass cleaner to restore its shine. Simply follow the instructions on the cleaner and use a soft cloth to buff the brass to a shine.
NOTE: One thing to keep in mind, the copper content of these metals can oxidize in combination with skin oils, creating a greenish layer of copper carbonate on skin. Check out our video instruction on “How to Clean Brass Jewelry with Household Products in Your Cabinet.”
